It’s great working up to children and a sunny day in
Africa!!!

The sun comes up at 4:30am here and I woke up to laughter of
little children!

As I pried my face from my forearm and raised my eyes in the
direction of the pleasant chuckles, I saw little black fingers that had pried
through the grass fence and wide eyes peering over at me! As they laughed, I
realized what they kept saying was, “Mzungu, mzungu!!! Mzungu means “white
man!

What a way to start Africa! It brought me back to the days
when dad and/or Clint would sneak into my room and jump on top of me and be a
tickle machine to wake me up! It always ended in chuckling and a morning filled
with joy! I wish someone would wake me like that every day! I want to wake up
in the joy of the Lord like this every morning!!! Lord, wake me up like this!

I imagine God looking on me saying in the morning saying,
“My son, my son, wake up, wake up!!! HERE WE GO!!!! as He chuckles to bring me
to life for a new day filled with life!

Let’s wake up in this joy together!

Loving you,
