Shut Your Mouth and SPEAK!
Looking into the eyes of a father as he plays and walks his
little boy down the road, watching a woman’s passion and patience for her
children as she listens to their cries, talking to other racers as they see and
speak to my heart, seeing a father run and singing with his little daughter held
tight in his arms, glancing over as a husband holds his family firm just to
remind them that he loves them, meeting a man who goes on to preach the Gospel
though doctors say he can’t, noticing the childlike heart of your teammates as
they pour into others, day after day seeing a couple serve a community
unselfishly, walking in to find another surprise lying on your pillow from
someone who has opened up their home for you, watching a father lead his family
just as God calls, hearing a seven year old little boy grieve in prayer over
his neighbors who don’t know Jesus… all these things I have seen. All these
things I have heard loudly.
After three months away, experiencing new lifestyle, culture
and just the fact that everything is different, I can say this… there is one
thing that remains the same. The way people love. The way they radiate the
earth around them, the way they awaken hearts, the way they make you feel
special, the way they make people feel wanted and valued, the way they give you
hope. This is love. This is HIS love.
1 John 3:18
says, “Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show
the truth by our actions. This truth I have heard many times before, but it
has never been hammered on my heart like it has this month. Let this resound in
your hearts because…
the
REALITY
of who
YOU TRULY are
is SPOKEN
when your MOUTH is
SHUT.
