This was a quick walk through a small part of TimiÅŸoara, Romania. The church that you saw there is the Romanian Orthodox Cathedral. It is the set church for Romania. It is a lot like Catholicism but they don’t really recognize the pope. There was SO MUCH detail poured into the architecture that you couldn’t even see from the video. It must have taken YEARS and YEARS to build! People came in the whole time we were there, would do their thing and then leave…. The old lady in the video was kissing a plaque of three saints… possibly Peter, James & John? The candles are in a prayer room to the side where they would write down their prayer requests and light a candle…. There were also other pictures of saints and pictures of Mary holding baby Jesus that people would go and bow before to pray. It was quite an interesting experience.
