Alrighty folks,
Tomorrow I am going with my squad to a house down the road here for a few days before our departure for Africa.
I am on a flight (leaving Romania early Saturday morning) that gets to stop in Athens, Greece for 8 hours (I have ALWAYS wanted to go there!!!!) then Qatar, Arabia for about 2 hours.
Once we are in Malawi, Africa, the internet will be poor if at all. Just to warn you, you will probably not see any videos over the next few months unless the Lord blesses us with great internet. I will do my best to get them up whenever it is possible though….
I am beginning to really miss my family a ton. I’m missing (just to name a few): mom’s cooking and HUGE support, dad’s wisdom and times just to hang and talk about football, the funny conversations with Clint while cutting hair, watching Lane and Landry grow up and do silly things, random dinners and conversations with Pawpaw, weekends with the guys at the camp house and yes, the rest of the clan!!! I miss you all SOOOOO MUCH!!!! I hate that I’m gonna miss Thanksgiving and Christmas with you all (my FAVORITE times of year) but glad that the Lord has me here and is working in me nothing but Kingdom!
Africa will be a difficult and very trying three months and I hope to walk this out with you in the same way we have, yet more intimate and open during months 5-7. I want to know what is troubling you, I want to know where victory is reigning in your heart, and what God is stirring up!
With that being said, I have one and only one request from you.
PLEASE, I mean PLEASE, send me encouraging e-mails while I am there. I will need you more than ever. It will be an all-out culture shock and change of world, different from anything that I have ever experienced. This will without doubt be breaking, and I will need your words, whether it be a short/funny e-mail (I will need those OFTEN) or an e-mail pouring out your heart as to what God is doing in you or saying. I WANT to hear those stories from you. I want to know how He is moving in and around you. I will do my best to respond as quickly as possible to those e-mails.
Family, friends, strangers, I DESPERATELY NEED YOU!
Please answer this one with your time and heart in writing, even if you don’t enjoy it much!
