Hello everyone!
We took a day to go to the beach since we are leaving tomorrow. I wasn´t too excited at first because I´m not the biggest beach person but it is BEAUTIFUL here! I came with Jonathan Moore (AKA Earl Ray Tackett… you will know soon!) to an internet cafe! We have a little bit more time so I will get out as much info as I can!
Clint, you would go NUTS over the kool-aid and popsicles here! The popsicles are like REAL FRUIT! Instead of 5 at a time, I could go for a whole box of ten! And they only cost like a dollar per box!
Dad, you would be intrigued by these guys re-´shingling´their shelters on the beach. There are a bunch of guys cutting the palm branches off of the trees, trimming them, a guy sitting on the ground with a stick putting nails through the branches to get a head start, some vicing up the wood beams to dry (glue) with wood and rope and twisting it (kind of like how we do H-posts). And we saw how they work smart! Lunch break was lie down on the palm branches and chill! The guys on the roof stayed there! Very smart! Oh, they cut the grass with a machette…. the WHOLE YARD!
Mom, Amy, Memaw, there are a lot of interesting flowers, plants and fruits growing EVERYWHERE! They have coconut trees, mango trees, banana trees, avacado trees, and some other stuff that I´m not so sure of yet…. There are even some in our compound!
Uncle Gary, there was a guy trying to sell things on the beach that was crazy, I think he would be another `Wayne`type story for you! He was HILARIOUS!
Jeremy, these guitarists on the beach need to learn Drake style….
Pawpaw, there ARE dogs on the street! So… the meat is good! hahaha
Well, as for now, I better start wrapping things up!
I may be able to go the the internet cafe when I get back and POSSIBLY upload a video or two (internet is SLOW)…. Haha, you think you have dial-up problems! Ok, it´s not that bad….

PS: Tomorrow we head to San Juan, DR to partner in ministry with a ministry there doing evangelism and teaching primarily. We may do block parties, sports, teach English, preaching, VBS, etc etc. These people are VERY relational and I can´t wait for that because I AM TOO!!!
