CORREGIDOR
ISLAND: The Most Bombed Island in WWII

Last weekend, I got the privilege
to go with four other guys to Corregidor Island here in the Philippines.

We rode a boat called a ‘banka’
from the south tip of Bataan (where the death march was) all the way to Corregidor
Island. The ride there was INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!!!

Our experience on the island was
one that I will never forget. We walked miles on the mountain and explored bat caves.
We explored the ruins on the island from the war, walked on the batteries (BIG
guns), and relaxed under the beautiful sun. We climbed a water tower,
challenged savage monkeys face to face (on video) and slept in hammocks under coconut
trees near the beach.

As amazing as all of that sounds,
those things weren’t the best part of my weekend!

The best part was getting to meet
a bunch of high school kids, getting to know them and speaking into their lives
for three days!!! I was also able to meet some students from Texas (going to
school here)!!! They made me feel a tad bit more at home! Haha Well, I got to
speak what the Lord thinks about them and what He was saying and watch them
light up and shine with the love of the father flowing all over them!

Robby and I were also able to
make some connections with people at Faith Academy and got to pour out and receive
a lot of love and wisdom throughout our stay at Corregidor!
