Month 3 is officially underway! This month we have joined forces with another team and we are traveling throughout the country of Malaysia. We don’t have any assigned ministry this month, that is the exciting part! Our assignment in Malaysia is simply, “Ask the Lord.” We do not have any plans for destinations, travel, lodging, food, ministry, anything! We will constantly be in prayer and communication with the Holy Spirit and follow where the Lord is calling us.
After about 30 hours of traveling by train, songthaew, ferry, and taxi, we arrived in Penang, Malaysia. We have been here for a few days seeking guidance as to what direction to go and when to head out, also spending some time intentionally seeking out encounters with people who God has put in our path. During our ATL (Ask the Lord) time today, we split up and covered some ground in the city. A few people prayed for a woman who had a painful knee injury and saw the Lord bring complete healing, others had an opportunity to share the gospel with Muslim boys, others made new friends at a local coffee shop, and all of us covered the streets of this wonderful city in prayer. This is just a small example of what the Lord will do when we are fully in tune with His Spirit and are obedient. Many more friendships, salvations, and miracles are in store, this is only the beginning!
Our group has received direction from the Lord. Tomorrow, we are heading north. Wherever we are led and whatever we are called to do, we know the Lord has already gone before us and will move exactly how He wants to. I know my amazing community back home is already lifting up this mission in your prayers, but this month our teams could use a little extra prayer and intercession. Please be praying for the names of my teammates you see below, specifically for clear communication from the Holy Spirit, discernment of our assignments, obedience, and boldness. Also please pray for the people we will be encountering in Malaysia, that their hearts would be prepared to receive the life-changing message of Jesus. I am so thankful for you all and could not be doing any of this without you. Thanks for being a part of this mission!
