Nepal a hard month for the squad. The reality of being away from home and the culture is starting to get to people. One thing I see on this race is that we all have come in here with a bunch of junk on us. As this is coming off we feel naked and alone. You know, like your standing in the middle of nowhere with nothing on and have no idea where to go or what to do. This is the point that this squad is at. We are now reaching for our comforts and looking for a way out.
However, this is not the time to go back to our comforts or run away. This is a time to look to the Father and start building our foundation on the rock that is clean and ready for a new temple to be built. This is not an individual effort and that is why we are living in community. We can start to help others build up their temple and in that walk through those things so we will in turn build up our own temples. How can we have been so sure about coming on this trip and then when things get hard and make us stretch we run away. No, this is what we asked for and for me, “I am not quitting in any aspects”.
I have learned so much this month from one person it is unbelievable.  They struggle with things in ways I never knew about but through time together I learned from them and did nothing about it for a period of time. I learned that I need to step in and help people that are falling and start doing things in order to help them. I realized that in life there are all sorts of ways that people try to fix problems but after those options are all gone we are left with the Lord to look to and He is the only one that can make things right. With groups of people seeking the Lord and lifting each other up when we stumble we can move forward and become a little more like the perfect and beautiful One that has unconditional love for us.
