I am currently in my last month of the race working with beautiful children in an orphanage and becoming their baiyahh (big brother). I will finish here and return home on August 31st. This journey has been amazing and growing for me and I am so thankful that I got to go on the World Race and here is a quick recap of the past 11 months.
Month 1 – Guatemala – Worked in an orphanage with about 35 children. Me and Scotty were bunkmates and lived with the 10-17 year old boys trying to teach them about becoming men.

Month 2 – Nicaragua – We were in a ministry school (read orphanage) that was teaching a group of teens to become ministers of the word. We would go into the local barrios and do children’s ministry.

Month 3 – Costa Rica – Worked with 6:8 Ministries and 4 Square Church and went into the local slums (where even the locals would not go) and fed the children. The pimp who owned the brothel next door would come outside and sit on the stoop while we did this.

Month 4 – Philippines – This month we were in Malaybalay City working at another orphanage. We were with 4 other teams this month and while we were making sure that the orphanage was staffed 24/7 we were also planting sod on an entire soccer field in hopes that they could have a soccer camp this summer.

Month 5 – Thailand – Nong Pok, Thailand to be exact. What is there, well not much else other than a 7-11 and an internet cafe. We would travel from public school to public school holding half and full day english camps for kids that knew no english at all all the way to the semi-fluent.

Month 6 – Malaysia – We did a little of everything this month. We worked with Burmese refugees, we worked in a restaurant, and we preached for the indigenous people, to name a few.

Month 7 – Cambodia – This month we worked with Teen Challenge Cambodia in Phnom Chiso. We got to pour into the lives of men that had come from living on the street and being addicted to everything from glue to alcohol.

Month 8 – Kenya – This month we were in Eldoret helping Pastor Patrick with his Releasing Destiny Ministries. We got to do door to door as well as record one track on a CD that pastor was working on.

Month 9 – Uganda – We worked with Eagles Mountain Church this month. We got to do door to door and preach every Sunday as well as hold a seminar toward the end of the month.

Month 10 – Tanzania – Ministry this month was doing door to door. On the first day we met Agnes whom we later found out was possessed. The lord brought freedom for her through the team being there.

Month 11 – India – Well this is where I am now. So far it is amazing. We have been to a leper colony, and to the slums, and also to two orphanages.
So THANK YOU. I could not have been to all the places and done all these things without YOU. Your prayer and financial support have made this possible for me.
So what’s next?
Well I come back to the states on August 31st and will be spending some time with the family. Then in October I am going to work for Adventures in Missions. I am going to continue to be a missionary just in a different role. I will be helping youth from around the country be mobilized into changing the world around them. And I NEED YOUR HELP. My salary in this position is 50% support raised. I must have the support in my account at all times in order to get paid. I would love to talk to you more about what I will be doing and if you would like to go to tea, coffee, or take me to lunch (haha) I would gladly oblige. Please email me at [email protected]
Otherwise, I am in need of monthly donors. Everything adds up and nothing is to small. You can have the money automatically drawn out of your account each month or I can send you an email reminder whichever is easier. To be set up on auto draft click the support me link on the left and follow the prompts for auto pay.
I have been called to change the world and would love for you to partner with me and help me do that. For this season it means coordinating youth mission trips, and who knows what is coming next.
I Love you all,
Cody
