So a lot has happened since Christmas.  It was my sister’s birthday on the 28th.  My team leader Scotty was raised up as one of the new Squad Leaders, and they asked me to be a team leader.

First off let me tell you about my sister.  She is my best friend and is also my number one supporter in everything that I do. She is awesome and has always been there for advice or anything that I might need.  She celebrated her birthday on the 28th of December and I would like all of yall to wish her a Happy Birthday for me if you see her.
Second,  when I started this journey I was put on a team with an awesome man of God as my leader.  Scotty taught me so much of how to humbly serve and lead by letting God lead.  Scotty was asked along with Shannon Ahola to be our new squad leaders for the rest of the race.  They have already assumed this position and I know that God orchestrated this change to be the greatest it could for S-Squad.  We are so blessed to have such amazing people as our leaders.
And lastly but most excitedly for me,  I am now a Team Leader.  My team has not decided on a new name as of yet but we are so stoked for the next chapter of the race.  As most of you know I was originally a leader then at launch they asked me to step down.  I was gladly willing to submit but at the time I didn’t understand why God would have me step down from something I liked doing (leading).  Now, with Scotty’s example, I know that I wasn’t supposed to be a leader from the beginning.  I didn’t at the time know how to lead by letting God lead me.  It would have been Cody leading and asking God for help if I messed up.  Now I know that they real leader is someone who is just an instrument for God to use to lead a group.  I don’t want to do anything without taking it to God and listening to what he has to say and then using that to lead.  This is something that I have grown into and can’t wait to venture forward in this journey.
So without further adiue my new team is:
I love all my supporters and thank you sooooo much.  All of our squad has made the financial goal of $10,000 for January 1st.  Our next goal is fully funded by March 31st.  I am only $800 away.  Woo hoo.  The final financial stretch is visible.
In Him,
Cody
