We arrived in Tegucigalpa,  Honduras two Fridays ago. For almost a month the squad will be together. We are staying with a missionary (Tony) and his family in Zion's Gate. Tony's family consists of his wife (Nidia) a old world racer (Cassie), and 13 boys who literally came off from the streets. Their ages range from 7 to 26. Tony let us know that his main focus was the boys' future and not their past. He also let us know that he doesn't share the Gospel verbally with them until he has been with them for 6 months. He learned this the hard way because the boys would always assume that God loves Gringos (North Americans) and not them.

Zion's Gate is a place where God literally put His hand and created change. It used to be a dance/ strip club where all the unmentionables happened. My tent is in the middle of two stripper poles and right near my tent is a caved-in stage covered with metal pieces with two stripper stands on the side of it. While the owner of the club was working one night, God touched her life right beside this stage. She closed the club the next day and it was abandoned for years until God gave Tony the vision of creating Zion's Gate.

My tent is the one with the blue towel on it…

Cassie's vision for Zion's Gate is creating a girls dormitory to allow around 6 street girls to move in. The ministry is expanding and God is keeping His hand on it. I will update on the specfic ministries my team are involved in and how God is changing the lives of 43 Gringos!
