Today’s the day that we change teams. Team changes usually happen around month five and here we are changing things up after two months. When they first told us I think I went through all the stages of grief. I love this team so much, but what I had to realize is that I wasn’t sure about them at first either. They were exactly what I needed in this season and I trust the Lord will provide what I need for the next. This team will always be special not only because they were my first team, but because of the quality of these people. I see so much of Yahweh in each of them and it’s so hard to let go of this season. So in honor of team changes I wanted to share a few words as to why I love these people so much:
Katie is probably the most raw, authentic person I have ever met. She speaks so much truth and life over others. She knows her heart and seeks to grow in her faith. She has taught me so much about how the Lord sees me and what sisterhood in Christ can look like. She fights for the people around her and encourages them while calling them higher. I feel like she is a safe space to go to for guidance because she will always point me back to the Father. Katie is very much a representation of Abba, Father!
Missy is one heck of a woman. She is bold and strong in her values. She works and serves others well. If there is work to be done she is always, always there already serving. I feel loved and safe when sharing with her because she listens and responds with wisdom from the Lord. She is so intentional with the people around her. She is quick to listen and slow to speak, but when she does It is always straight from a heart of love and intentionality. She has also shown me what community with woman should look like and calls me higher every single day.
Lyle is a natural born leader. From the moment we met he has had a drive and focus to show others Christ. He uses Scripture daily to share what the Lord is teaching him, What the Lord is the telling him, and to call others higher. He searches for areas that he can improve and actually makes those changes. His spiritual discipline is so inspiring and pushed me to better my walk with our Father. He has loved his sisters in Christ so well!
Carter is such a kind, compassionate human being. He will brighten up your day with a smile and nudge just when you need it. I joke about him being such a “dad”, but he really is that to so many people. He protects and loves the people around him. The room is more alive when he is there and his dance moves will steal the show!
Jonathan is so remarkable. He listens to the Father and is constantly in the word or thinking about how he can grow spiritually. Half the time we can’t find him and when we do he is either with the Lord or pursuing the people around him. He seeks those that others may look over and those that feel left behind or unseen. He would give you the shirt off his back.
I love you all so much and I can’t wait to continue on this journey with you. Stay beautiful!
