The Troops are Moving Out!

Just so you’ll know and you can pray for us. We are spending the rest of this weekend at the retreat center in Palenque. Our “formal” training for the beginning of The World Race should be over Friday night. We’ll spend the weekend relaxing, shopping, taking care of internet, postal and banking business, etc.

On Monday Squad A & B will split. Our four Squad A Teams will spend the better part of the next three weeks in small villages in the mountains. In fact, it looks like all four teams will be in separate villages so we’ll only see one another a couple days a week. We will probably meet up every Monday in town to take care of business and then camp-out together for worship, debriefing and relaxation. While in the villages we will work under the authority of a couple of local pastors being of whatever service we can be. When not directly serving the local pastors we will simply seek the Lord about how to best love and serve the people we meet. I could give you some ideas of what we’ll be doing . . . but I’m not. Wait another week (maybe less) and you’ll get better than “ideas”; you’ll get testimonies!!
