When I sent out my support letters I may have overstated the
fact that I am capable of simply writing a check to pay for The World
Race. I can do that. I consider it one of Kim’s legacies in my
life that she fought hard throughout our marriage to get us debt-free. However, I have another reason for asking my
friends and family to continue to support The World Race financially.
If my family and friends can complete my support raising
then I in turn can help support a few of my fellow racers. According to the latest figures, I am about
60% funded ($7000.00 down, $5000.00 to go).
Eight of my fellow racers are currently RED FLAGGED, meaning they may
not be able to participate in the January race as their support is below a
$6300.00 threshold. Even though I am
just barely above the participation threshold my support level is still
considered excellent because of my ability to pay off the balance on my
own.
If my supporters can help me reach my $12000.00 goal then I
can help some of my fellow racers. Or
