Ministry has been fairly intense so far and we’ve only just
begun. Right now we are spending about a
1/3 of the day (mornings, mostly) doing street evangelism. That is, we are wondering around the local
markets and handing out tracts for the church.
People here are so much more receptive to tracts than they are at home.

We visited two schools one morning this week. Both schools brought all their students
together in an assembly and let us share a short Drama and a gospel
presentation. I love children…but I’m
still a youth minister for sure. The
first school was primary and secondary (elementary and middle) and I found
myself quickly drawn to the older middle schoolers. One girl I met told me right off the bat that
she didn’t believe in God. But within
the course of just a few minutes she said she would like to believe. Pray for Stephanie. She said she would try come to church this
Sunday.

The next school was a primary school. The kids were great. They even danced for us
after our presentation. But wouldn’t you
know it… my heart was drawn to two 16 year old girls that were passing by. They said they would come to church this
Sunday too. I hope I see Stephanie and
Angela again.

We are ministering almost everyday at Loma De Covina-
it’s a shantytown built atop a sand dune that overlooks the Pacific
Ocean. In fact, it looks
like we are going to physically build a CHURCH
BUILDING while also building the
Church Body in this area.

We have a couple of worship services during the nights and
there are Cell Group meetings on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

We are going to try and take Mondays and Tuesdays off.
