Here are a few pictures from Debrief in Nicaragua. We stayed at a camp (dorm style) on the shore
of Lake Nicaragua. I mentioned elsewhere already that it’s the 7th
largest Freshwater Lake in the World- it’s over 100
miles long and about 50 miles at its widest point. The island in the middle includes 2 volcanoes
that are nearly a mile high. The island
is about 20 miles long!

Our first night in Rivas, Nicaragua
we ate a restaurant near the center of the city. Notice Joy’s bowl of Chicken Noodle
Soup. Now that’s a healthy serving!

Debrief was pretty intense but did include some team
building time such as the Sand Castle Competition. I think this one is the ruins of Palenque. Yeti’s Yeti was pretty awesome as was the
giant toilet. LO won with a near life-size
(not really) depiction of Peru
complete with Lake Titicaca and the Andes
Mountains. (Sorry, no picture).

Finally, there’s this picture of the Squad A shuttle bus
that got us from Managua to
Rivas. Thank goodness there were no
low-hanging power lines. Wait, what’s a
power line?
