Training Camp has a been an amazing blessing for me over the past few days. Before this training camp I felt like my heart was still needing to be prepared for this huge journey that we are about to embark on. God has used this training camp to bring more intimacy into our relationship. The first few days of camp we have dedicated ourselves to worship twice per day for hours at a time. It was so refreshing to worship with other believers of my generation. The only way I can explain my experience here so far is to say that it has been spiritually freeing. Everyone here comes from different denominations, but we have come together to worship in one accord. Some with hands raised, some dancing, some jumping, some praying, and some speaking in tongues. It has been powerful.
God has really been using this experience to stretch our faith. He has been revealing His true power. One night we laid hands on those racers in our group who have had health issues and God came through and healed many of the people. I’ve read about those kinds of amazing things in the bible and heard stories through missionaries on the field, but for many of us this was the first time we participated in the healing power of God. I’m not sure what all situations we will be facing on this up and coming trip, but God is preparing us to step up in our faith and believe that we can do all things through him.
