I wanted to let you all know about some exciting things that are going on in my life. Awhile ago, I finished reading the book “Not A Fan” by Kyle Idleman. It’s about how to be a follower of Christ and not just a fan who cheers from the sidelines. The last part of the book is titled “Wherever. Whenever. Whatever.” It asks if you’re willing to go WHEREVER God wants you to, WHENEVER He wants you to, and are you willing to give up WHATEVER it takes to do it. Because of that book and God working in my heart, I decided that I no longer want to be the comfortable fan cheering for Jesus from the sidelines. I want to get into the game!
I first heard about the World Race about two years ago and thought it would be an awesome experience. However, being the “fan” that I was, I decided that it would be too much sacrifice. I put it in the back of my mind. Directly after reading the last page of “Not A Fan”, I logged into Facebook and the very first post I saw was from the World Race. It said, “Hurry up! July 2013 Routes are filling up fast!” I believe God was calling me to missions right then and there. I will serve as a missionary on the World Race through an organization called Adventures in Missions (AIM). The World Race is an 11-month mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. Through adventure, ministry, community, and self-discovery, World Racers develop broken hearts that propel their hands and feet to act for God’s kingdom around the globe. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in human trafficking, and bring the hope of God’s love to many tribes and nations.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs! Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you. I am writing to ask if you would consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in this endeavor. In order to go on the World Race, I must raise $15,500 which covers all of my expenses while I am on the field. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation. If you decide to do a monthly donation, you have the ability to choose the amount and the beginning and end date. Think about this: If 25 people pledge $50 a month for 12 months, I would have 100% of the funds necessary to go on the World Race!
