I had a very exciting surprise the other day: the announcement for the countries the World Race Gap Year squads will be going to next year!
My countries are…
THAILAND
SOUTH AFRICA
NICARAGUA
In that order. Three months in each country. Nine months total. Still in awe.
I am so humbled at the mere thought of God wanting to use me in these nations that He so carefully picked out for me and the rest of Gap D squad. I am still not sure what ministry will specifically look like in each of these places, but I know that God has some amazing stuff planned!
When I applied, I had no idea the countries I’d be serving in or the people I’d be serving with. But God works when we give our plans and ourselves over to Him. And He is faithful! He has given me some really incredible squad mates that I love already, and He has given me an amazing route that is way better than any plan I could ever come up with!
It is crazy to think I’ll be launching in 7 short months to Thailand with my squad. I am so pumped for these new places I will be calling “home” and the experiences God has in store for me there.
Please pray for me and the rest of my squad as we fundraise and prepare for this adventure God has called each of us to. Also be praying for the nations we will live in and the people we will meet there!
