“Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue. The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute?Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” -Exodus 4:10-11

2 1/2 months into squad leading, I realized it is time to blog. I know Aunt Jodi is probably worried about me (there is your shout out, I promised).

Squad leading has been one of the most fruitful, yet challenging tasks that I have every taken on. Leading 40 of your peers around the world sharing the Father’s love is surprisingly harder then you would think.

Over the past two months, I have been stretched, challenged, broken, taken out of my comfort zone, and have had to have the tough conversations and use my voice, when I didn’t want to. I have had to face my insecurities of what the squad would think of me as well as the inadequacies of feeling like I am not able to lead this squad.

These past two months, have been me learning what it looks like for Clark Moser to be fully alive in Christ and lead and operate out of the giftings the Lord has bestowed upon me. Also stepping into letting Holy Spirit minister and SPEAK through me.

I have learned several lessons through squad leading which I will share in a later blog. However, I want to give you a little recap of my first month squad leading in Cambodia.

How the month worked, I spent two weeks with one team in Phnom Penh and then two weeks with another team in a small village outside of Siem Reap. My role as a squad leader for the most part is to integrate into the team I am with and do ministry with them and also at the same time trying to facilitate spiritual growth amongst the team as well as individually, while continuing to cater to the rest of the squad.

The first half of the month I was with team Anathallo working with Cornerstone church in Phnom Penh. To understand what that team is doing here is a link to a blog by one of the members of team Anathallo describing the month: click here to read her blog

The last half of the month I was with team Boldly Present in a small remote village. Here is a typical day for us in the village written by one of their team members: click here to read his blog.
