We are staying with a worship leader at a local church Alberto and his family. The 4 guys are staying with the family in their home and the 17 girls are staying at an empty house nearby.
We are spending the month partnering with Alberto’s church Tabernáculo Bíblico Bautista. We are doing several different forms of ministry with the members of the church.
Some of the ministries we have already done are sharing testimonies and leading worship at the church, doing street evangelism, visiting prisons, singing songs and doing dramas for the local schools, and going into the community and running a VBS for the children.

One blessing the Lord has given us is there is outdoor recreation center near to where we are staying that has outdoor basketball courts. Not only is it a blessing because we get to go play basketball but it is a great opportunity to interact and minister with the locals who hang out there.

I am continuing to learn and grow so much in my walk with the Lord. He continues to show me new and amazing things every day. Recently He has placed on my heart the verse from Luke 9:23 that says “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”

This has been an impactful verse to me because a lot of times I don’t think about what it looks like to follow Christ daily. Basically Jesus is saying to follow me you need to pick up your cross and die daily for Him. It has really made me think each day what it looks like to die in this world in some aspect to bring the glory to God. It’s ironic because once we start dying for Christ on a daily basis is when we will truly begin to experience life.
