Each month, about two weeks before leaving the country we are in, we receive something called a setup sheet. This sheet is sent out to team leaders who brief their teams on the ministry where they will be serving the next month. Our hosts fill this out with information about what we will be helping with on a daily basis, our food, travel, and lodging budgets, cultural issues we need to be aware of, and safety ratings. Reading our setup sheet is always an exciting moment, even though lots of times you have to wait until you get there to really know what’s going on.

Well, it’s Month 11, and Adventures in Missions (AIM) won’t be sending me a setup sheet to tell me what ministry will look like next month. But since this has been a rhythm of my life for the past year, I decided to make one of my own for home anyway. Hopefully it will be a good indicator of how I plan to do ministry, but as with all setup sheets, I’ll just have to wait and see.

Special thanks to my parents, who will be “hosting” me during this next season, for helping me fill this out and prepare me for a place that is familiar, but also different from what I’ve grown accustomed to this year.
