We visited 3 of the 7 Churches John wrote to in Revelations;
Ephesus
,
Smyrna
(
Izmir
) and
Pergamum
(
Bergama
).
On our arrival in
Bergama
we searched for the church to give them Johns letter; Rev2:3-17 because this letter is still applicable for the Christians in this age. After many hours of walking a man with the name Isus showed us the way to church.
The building was a ruin of the original
church
of
Pergamum
.
The church was secured by a high fence so we walked around and stopped at a little gate to pray.
While I was praying a man, with the name Ali, approached us and started telling us about the history of the church and that this was one of the 7 Churches John wrote to.
He told us that he was born Muslim but a few months ago he decided to give his life to Jesus and he was filled by the Holy Spirit.
Ali is the only believer in
Bergama
and God made sure we found Him!
We gave him the scripture, encouraged him and prayed for him.
Tears filled Alis eyes and when we greeted we were all encouraged by Gods faithfulness.
