So I’ve really been thinking about how I should blog about Nicaragua – I know I have a couple of times, but they all seem like not exactly what I want to say.  So I’ve decided that I am going to write specifically about a few of the kids.  I love these kids – love them.  I keep telling my squadmates they are like my arm – I just don’t know what to do without them!

I’m going to start with Gema and Heydi.  Gema is 14 years old and has the most innocent, sweet spirit about her.  Her love for the Lord and for other people is so obvious!  She longs so badly for her family to know the Lord and understand her in that.  I probably got the closest to her of any of the girls in the community.  It’s so funny because I feel like she would be one of the easiest to love by all the teams that go there, but apparently we are the first team that she really opened up to.  Me specifically – which makes her have an even more special place in my heart.  In Spanish the parts of the egg are apparently clara for the white part and hema for the yellow part.  So we always joked that Gema was the yoke to my egg! 🙂
Heydi is also 14 and is just a sweetheart.  I will not ever forget the first time she came to youth group because she had just turned 14.  She was so quiet and all of the kids kept on talking about how shy she was.  Woah how she has changed. She is so exciting, outgoing and loving.  She has three older sisters in the youth group too (Paola, Teresa and Elisabeth) who are all amazing.  Pray that they all just continue to seek after the Lord.
**  I have put up loads of pictures on facebook if you would like to see the faces of people that I love!!
She and Gema are together a whole lot and now we have nicknames- Loca Numero 1 (me), Loca Numero 2 (Gema) and Loca Numero 3 (Heydi).  I love these girls so much.
