Month 9. Can you believe that? MONTH NINE!! We have been in Bulgaria for about two weeks now and I want to share what life looks like this month!
Ministry :
This month we are partnering with a local church pastored by Pastor Yavor, but we just call him pastor. We are in the city of Vidin, Bulgaria. Our ministry this month has been so fruitful and filled with purpose. We go on house visits to encourage the elderly in the community, visit nursing homes to share testimonies and sing songs, and put on a kids club for the neglected Roma kids on the other side of town.
Community :
They are bold as a lion, fierce as a warrior, and have the bravery of a Gryffindor.
They are Baby Aslan!
We have recently gone through a season of team changes again. This month is the first month with four teams of seven. The team I am with for the whole month is Baby Aslan!
This team is building the church of Christ every single day. They are loving, intentional, and the most welcoming group of women. They laugh all the time, dive into the Word together, and encourage one another out of safe comfort zones.
They are powerhouses.
Our housing for this month is in an apartment complex in Vidin. We have a WASHING MACHINE!!! We also get to cook for ourselves and play with the puppies in the parking lot. Its a strange combination of things but we are loving it so far.
Prayer Requests :
Please pray for good health and future protection from illnesses for the rest of the Race. This month, I am asking the Lord to take my thoughts captive and I would love for you, as my supporters, to join me in this prayer! I also deleted my social media apps this month (you can read about that here). I’m not sure for how long I will keep them off of my phone, but pray for the Lord to heal my heart and transform my mind during this time.
Wow there are a lot of prayer requests.
ALSO please join me in prayer for what my life will look like after the Race. I have some ideas for what the Lord is leading me into but I need some prayer-warriors to back me up in discernment as well.
This month in Vidin, Bulgaria is looking like it will be one of my favorite months of the entire Race.
