Life looks like spreading the love of Jesus to kids at a park with minimal Spanish experience, having midnight dance parties, spontaneously worshipping with my team after a morning of ministry, coming across 3 inch scorpions, surprise ice cream trips, petting every stray dog and praying I don’t get fleas because of it, desperately washing clothes in the shower late at night because the water for the laundry is turned off, finding a huge Iguana in our house, prayer walks and building relationships with the locals, worshipping in Spanish, chopping wood at a plantain farm with machetes, riding on the roof of a 15 passenger van to our ministry location, adventure days at the beach and fresh water springs, sweeping, sweeping, sweeping and sweeping, lots of beans and plantains, napping in hammocks, playing Spicy UNO and Monopoly Deal, cramming 22 people in a 15 passenger van, constantly getting hugs from cute kiddos, bug bites, ice cold showers, squeezing limes in the kitchen and getting to eat the extra, Chaco tan lines, and spending time with the SWEETEST squad and the kindest people.
God’s been constantly surprising me. He’s SO fun!!! He’s been teaching me that no matter where I am, I’m home, because home is with Him. There is an abundance of joy and peace in this place. Thank you Jesus!
