The past 4 days of my life have been at a training camp in Georgia that consisted of singing battles, sleeping on the floor with 65 other girls, incredible meals, and my teammate ripping her pants during a dance battle (which we won by the way probably for that reason haha). Yesterday we left the United States and made an 8 hour travel to the beautiful city of Managua, Nicaragua! So yeah, WE ARE IN NICARAGUA! It’s so crazy and so amazing that all these months of preparation have led up to this day. We arrived at 2 in the morning and drove straight to a hostel where we stayed for the night. After the most wonderful shower and repacking all my backpacks, I went to bed at 5:30am.
Now it’s morning and I’m sitting in my hostel room with 5 of my squad mates just reflecting on these past few days and squealing of excitement about the next adventures we get to embark on. Today we get the super beautiful opportunity to continue traveling. We are on a bus for 4 hours and then are taking a ferry ride for about 1 hour to Ometepe Island where we will be staying for the next 3 weeks! It is literally SO COOL! It is so overwhelming and exciting. Like are we SURE this is real?!! I get to be in Nicaragua with a super amazing squad for a month and a half!!
Another fun update is, I want to also share that MY SQUAD is seriously the BEST! They are such bright lights in the Kingdom that have already poured so much power, encouragement and wisdom into me. I love them so crazy much already!
I didn’t really know what I was going to write when I started this blog, but I hope it was a good quick update to receive before I leave in 20 minutes to travel more! I appreciate everyone that was a part of getting me here, through your financial support and powerful prayers. I am SO excited for this journey ahead!
