Is it possible to adequately describe an all-consuming God? As I sit here trying to put into words what Training camp was and what it did to me, I keep going back to God. To describe to you how the Lord hand crafted each moment, each person, each trial, each smile, each tear, each beautiful moment of worship, just seems impossible unless you lived it with me. I gotta start by telling you about the people…

Ooooohhh K Squad! This is where I have to begin. I cannot possibly be more thankful for the group of people I’m about to serve with and live life with this year. Divinely appointed. That’s a good way to describe it I think. So many personalities, gifts, pasts, abilities, and passions are so delicately being woven together more and more each day. We started bonding months ago over the phone, road trips, skype, coffees, texts…basically any way we could possibly get to know each other. Leading up to camp it was SO exciting for all of us to finally be together. So many deep relationships had already formed and it was more like a family reunion than a first time meeting for us because of that. I never knew I could fall in love with about 58 people in just a few days. The bond we had before camp was nothing compared to what we left with and it’s just the beginning. I am so excited to see how the Lords going to work through and on each of us this next year. We have this beautiful ‘uncommon unity’ that is solely built on the love of Christ and our deep desire to love Him more, love each other, and to show everyone we can who HE is!
In the squad we are put into teams of anywhere from 6 to 8 people. It’s this smaller close knit group that we will be with, in each country. See once the squad gets into a country, our teams are paired with various ministry partners. The whole squad won’t be together each and every month. Some months it will be just our team, other months we will be paired with more. My team is the bomb.com!

Introducing Team Braveheart! (You may think this is a name taken from the movie, but it has a much deeper meaning to us than just that!)
Our fearless leader! Thomas aka MacGyver. Encourager. This dude is a stud. He is crafty, outdoorsy, funny, humble, wise, handy, selfless, tender, strong, a listener, and overall a great man. He puts others first. He is a brother who gets both guys and gals. He seems to have a natural instinct to just know when a hug, encouraging word, joke, or just a smile is needed. He is a natural born leader, and I have no doubt he will lead this team with wisdom, patience, and love.
Danny the Dance Machine. Passionate. He is one of the funniest guys I have ever met. But more than just laughs, this man has a huge heart. He is caring, kind, defender of the helpless, encouraging, strong, a writer, understanding, just, and more. He is deeply passionate and will fight for what’s right. His love and laughter is going to heal people this year. He is going to show so many how beautiful the love of our Father is.
Caitlin the Razorback. Outgoing. Miss Caitlin and I are a lot alike. Girl is very passionate and loyal to her sports teams, but even more so to her friends. She is funny, loving, encouraging, beautiful, fun, tough, not afraid to meet and love others where they are at. She is intentional. She may be a razorback and I may be a tiger, but now we are sisters.
Sheri the Great. You can’t judge a book by it’s cover with her. She may be little, but oh is she mighty. She is tough, but under it all she is also tender and becoming even more so. She is seeking the Lord in a beautiful way and whole heartedly wants to be more like Him. She is strong, beautiful, bold, fearless, feisty, fun, and loving. I am so excited to see what the Lord is going to do through and to her.
Samson the Prophet. He seems quiet and shy, but don’t let that fool you. He has a big presence and a deep desire and love for the Lord. He is bold and isn’t afraid to speak what He sees in you or what He’s hearing from the Lord for you. He is smiley, strong, funny, family oriented, and is going to be a mighty encouraging force for the Lord.
Laura the Tenderheart. Forgiven. She is resilient, a fighter, tough, sweet, giving, funny, beautiful. She is level headed, a voice of reason, and one to lean on. She is going to be a force to be reckoned with this year. I can just see the Lord peeling off so many layers and showing more of Him through her each time. I can’t wait to get to know her even more and see what God does with her.
