It’s been a whirl-wind of meetings, family gatherings, and adjusting to home – since returning home from the field w/ P-squad just a month ago…but God has been faithful in preparing my heart throughout the last year for this next part of the journey. I want to thank you all for your prayers and covering as we traveled. We saw breakthrough come at the most crucial of moments, and I know it’s because of your faithfulness to fight for us as we journeyed!

Some of you have been asking about reverse-culture shock: I still find myself awkwardly shying away from people in Wal-mart and I talk funny sometimes…and if we’re really honest, most of my stories start with “when we were in (insert country of choice here)…” or “awh that one time when (insert incident or happening with squad/natives/team/etc)…” but all in all, it’s been great. I cry often, and most days are full of the unexpected. It’s been a challenge to be away from community – but because of this I find myself digging deeper into the relationships at home – and having to more intentionally pursue my squad without seeing them everyday. This period of rest and transition has been a hinge-point, propelling me from the end of one journey into the next.

So what comes next?? — The journey EXTENDED!
I am pleased to announce to you that tomorrow morning I am hopping on a plane to Atlanta, Georgia…and eventually heading to Tennessee for training camp. This September I will be Squad-leading with (this fellow below) Phillip Henry, the A-SQUAD! (This means I will spend 4 months on the field with them, identify and raise up leadership to take our places – and return to visit them during their 8th and 11th month debriefs). I am blown away as I walk out step by step the promises of the Lord. He is awakening this generation – and I believe we will see an incredible outpouring of Kingdom through A-squad over the next year of this World Race journey. We believe they are an anointed, awakened, accepted, amazing crew…this is just the start.

So the exciting stuff starts tomorrow — I’ll post more about my squad in the coming days — for now, I invite you to come along with us on this extended JOURNEY. Pray for me and Phillip as we enter into this responsibility and leadership role of being squad-leaders. Pray for A-Squad, that they will experience transformation and heart work like never before – and pray for the people we will encounter, bless, and be blessed by along the way.

I do need to raise funds for this journey (roughly $6,000) so I ask you to consider donating.
You can do so by clicking on the “support me” tab at the left of this screen –
