Recently our squad has taken note of the need among many in our squad family to finalize support-raising for the World Race. On a personal note, my support account has been blessed abundantly, and only needs $1500 more to be fully funded. I thank God for this and fully trust in His portion and provision for the remaining funds.
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.
For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
-Luke 6:38 (NIV)
In addition to this – several members of my team and squad are in great need of funds to remain on the field and to continue ministering with the P-squad. To combat this issue on our end – we have opted to spend a day fasting and praying over the financial needs of our team. Beginning tonight (Wednesday) at supper, my team will be fasting through mealtimes until supper tomorrow (Thursday) evening.
Here in the Dominican Republic many people operate in a mentality and daily practice of community living – when one neighbor is in need, the others rally to meet that need. When someone is in lack, they seek out neighbors who have and ask to share. When they receive blessings, they return the blessings in which they have been given.
Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.
They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.
And the LORD added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
-Acts 2:44-47
We ask that you join us in this effort of calling down God’s blessing and provision – because we already know the need of this team has been met – we just need to see some tangible money appear in support accounts…and we’re believing if we ask in Jesus name, we will see tangible results. Our squad and team has chosen to operate in a mentality of abundance and not of lack. As God’s children, we lack no good thing – for our Father in Heaven knows and provides for all needs great and small.
Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”
-John 16:24 (NIV)
