So I told Nick I would do the best I could do to get him a Bible, not sure if I could even find one. (But hoping that I could locate one and if by any possible way, maybe it would be a Thai/English Bible that he wanted.)
Three of us went to prayer walk after we left Nick and went by to say ‘Hi’ to the people working the pier handing out Chinese Bibles. Long story short, an amazing man of God handed me a Thai only New Testament but then said that he thought he may have one Thai/English Bible at home and if he could find it then he would bring it to prayer meeting the next morning. I couldn’t believe my ears!
Bright and early the next morning, there was our man and his Thai/English Bible. Completely free! The Tamar Center let us have a couple of their hand outs in Thai that we put with the Bible and I wrote in a card about the story of the Prodigal Son. (I really wanted to find a verse on love to give him, but I kept feeling lead to put a reference to this story.)
I have never seen things come together so quickly and so easily in my life. I have no idea if when I felt like we needed to share the Word of God with Nick, if we really were supposed to share something or if God really wanted us to give Nick the Word. But Nick now has a Thai/English Bible!
Nick, if I ever come back to Pattaya, I’ll look you up and we can go to dinner. If I never see you again, I guarantee I’ll see you in Heaven. God has plans for you, my friend. He literally sent people from across the world just to get you a Bible – that’s got to be a cool feeling knowing that God loves you that much that He has orchestrated at least six people’s lives just to get a Bible to you!!! You’re in my prayers and just like Christians before us, my prayer will be that other Christians will come into your life over and over again. God is wanting to speak to you, just listen. If you have any questions, feel free to email me or go to the Tamar Center, someone there can help.
Nick, you’re awesome. I’m so happy that I got a chance to meet you!
