I am still in Nicaragua!!
For our last full month of ministry, we were supposed to choose from four groups of World Racers. One group was doing an extreme-ish type ATL (Ask The Lord), another group was ATL but not as extreme, another group was staying around Granada to do music ministry and the final group was going to stay in Antigua. Of the four groups I didn’t feel peace of any of them. For a little bit, I actually went to two groups’ meetings so that when I decided which group I would be in then I wouldn’t be quite as behind on the news.
Our decisions were due on Tuesday. On Monday afternoon, I still didn’t know where I was going. Then within a short period of time, a new group formed. This group was geared toward Nicaragua and two major contacts here. One contact which feeds thousands and thousands of children and another contact that runs an orphange. I had already spoken with another World Racer about my heart still being in Nicaragua and working with the children here.
I was never excited about Latin America until I arrived. I have fallen in love with Nicaragua and its people. But in Granada I never got a chance to form relationships with the children and in turn felt empty.
With this option on the table, I finally had peace about which group to join. Our new team name for this month is ECsquared. Our members are Elizabeth, Cristie and me! Get it…ECC…ECsquared! So the three of us are heading out to do the Lord’s work in the next few weeks. Elizabeth and I are on Team Lego together and this will be the first time that I have done ministry with Cristie.
God has already provided so much for us in just the first few days! But you’ll have to come back to read about that!! My only desire when I came to Latin America was to work with children and now God is allowing me to do just that in a country that I just adore!
