Mondays in Botswana have been set aside for ATL. (ATL means Ask The Lord) During that time, we ask God to take us to the places that He wants us to go and put people in our path that He wants us to meet. This is a time for God to work. Basically you need to be willing to go and do what you’re told.

As two teams decided to stay around the camp area, two other teams decided to head into town. As Heather, Silas and I set out for town we decided to go into the market and see where God led us. The first woman we met was a Christian, and as we started talking more with her we found out that her husband and mother had died a few years ago in an auto accident. She was left alone with nine children! She was so happy when we asked if we could pray for her. God was already opening doors in the market!

Booth by booth we walked through the market speaking to the people who we thought God was leading us to. We met some of the nicest people and all knew Jesus and gladly accepted our prayers. As we started to pass a line of booths, a lady in her 20s caught my eye. As I started talking to her and began asking questions, she told us that she didn’t know Jesus. She had never heard about him. As we started telling her about Jesus, she called one of her friends over to hear what we were saying. Long story short…both of them accepted Jesus as their Savior that day! I can honestly say all of that was truly God! God had picked that woman out for us to talk to. God was the one who led those women to accept Him as their Savior (it sure wasn’t us).

It’s amazing what happens when we get out of the way and let God have His way!
