The quiche people are so amazing they are friendly like none other, they will say high to everyone. But many of them are lost.
We got to work with a pastor that works with them every day. Pastor victoriano, is an amazing man that preaches all his sermons in both Spanish and in quiche. He is such a Godly man. He told us part of his testimony while we worked with him, painting his church. He told us that he only had three years of schooling. So like an education of about 3rd grade. But that didn’t stop God from calling him. Cause God equips the called not calls the equipped. He has been persecuted over the years for this. People have wanted to burn down the church but with the support of youth and his family he has been able to grow this church and has even planted churches in the area.
He was telling us a story about one of the churches that they planted. When the man that was called and raised up to be a pastor. Well he couldn’t read at all, the man was illiterate but God called and he equipped him. This man can read now, you might think well so he learned to read. No that didn’t happen cause he can only read the bible if you give him anything else he is still illiterate. What a God that can do anything.
He equips those that he calls. He is equipping even me with new things. But that’s for another blog. But just think about the fact that our God can do this anywhere. I mean anywhere. We just have to trust him to do it all and let the Holy Spirit work, and God will use us for our calls.
So do not worry when called cause he walks with you he walks with you all the way to heaven. He will give you things that you need. So pray for his call even if you think it’s too late, that’s just not true. Cause God is not finished with you yet.
