My parents are going to court on Friday to get temporary custody of Kaleb, my nephew. Without going into too much detail, because it is pretty invovled, Michael, Kaleb’s so called “father,” is fighting my parents for custody of Kaleb. He has been pretty much out of the picture for the past two years. He has been served the papers, but we don’t know if he’ll show up or not…he lives in Alabama. If he doesn’t show up, it’ll make it some what easier and full legal custody should come pretty quick after that.
Even though we feel we have a pretty solid chance of getting custody there is always some small chance…that fear in the back of your mind, ya know. Please be praying for:
~ my parents as they prepare for this on Friday…peace
~ myself as I will be at work while all this is going on…peace
~ the judge…he/she will look at all the facts and see Kaleb needs to stay in this environment
~ Kaleb and the rest of us would not be emotionally hurt anymore right now
~ God would change Michael’s mind so he would see staying with us is the best thing for Kaleb
I will keep everybody updated as to how it goes on Friday, but until then please be praying for God’s supernatural peace to just flood our hearts right now.
