Sitting here at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) and waiting to board the flight to D.C. which will be the launch site for the January 2013 routes!

This past week has been crazy….

Trying to juggle spending time with friends and family before leaving and making sure that I have everything…

Even now when I'm already on my way and away from home with no chance of turning back my mind is already racing with regrets, uncertainties, and realizing I probably should have started packing sooner and now I have luggage that is way too heavy and full of things that I may just have to leave behind.

Procrastination is something that I seem to be very good at and it's not good. I definitely recommend for any future racers that read this blog to start packing 1 week or more in advance instead of the night/morning of departure! ๐Ÿ˜› Trust me! If you don't you'll be like me and panic at the last minute, especially if you want to spend time with friends and family beforehand!

Still though, there is a level of excitement that I can't help but feel…I mean this is it! This is a one way ticket….I will be in Ecuador before I know it!

The journey has begun and God is going to show and do amazing things in these next 11 months. Countless people will be able to hear the gospel and lives will be transformed ๐Ÿ™‚

In Luke 15 it talks about the Parables of the Lost Sheep, Lost Coin, and Prodigal Son….

To what lengths will you go this year to save even just one other person?

Life is a missions field no matter where you are…I'm grateful for the opportunity to travel and meet new people to spread the gospel, but I am also excited for my Church fam and friends who will be able to touch the lives around them right where they are.

Race on, friends ๐Ÿ™‚
