So far these past two days in Ukraine have been an adventure and we are truly experiencing how good God is.
Yesterday, started off as any ordinary day with praise and worship and then we did a little bit of Unsung Heroes work that didn't require internet because our apartment didn't have internet yet. At around 12:30pm we headed out to look for a place that had wifi that we could use and eat lunch cheaply and after some walking around we spotted Aladdin Cafe. We saw that outside there were pictures and prices and it was all relatively affordable so we went in and asked the owner if he spoke English and he didn't, but one of the customers did and we ended up ordering 6 cheeseburgers. God is good.
The internet was fabulous and worked wonderfully and we ended up spending 4 hours there and then we heard from the Pastor of Living Hope Church about their Church service that night and decided to go. We packed up and bought cheese to make grilled sandwiches after service and headed out. The only directions we had were to get on bus 148 and to get off the bus before the 2nd McDonald's, but we wouldn't see the McDonald's until we passed it….
After we got on the bus and passed the 1st McDonald's we asked the people on the bus if they knew where McDonald's was and a couple of people were nice enough to tell us when to get off. The information we got was accurate because as soon as we got of the bus and walked a little bit we looked up and saw the McDonald's sign. God is good.
Then we were told to walk west (towards the sun) and then the building we were looking for would be after the 2nd stoplight, but before the 3rd stoplight and the building would have Element on it and a banner hanging from the 2nd story with the Church name in Russian and English underneath it. Ok…we started walking and amazingly we found it without problems and made it to the Church just on time. God is good.
The Church service was about the resurrection of Christ and whether it really happened or not in light of Easter this coming Sunday. I know, Easter comes at a different time for Eastern Orthodox then it does for Western so we get to celebrate Easter twice 😀
We met a guy named, Pat, and he was really interesting. There doesn't seem to be anything that he hasn't done or tried to do at one point. Pretty fun guy with lots and lots of stories! Somehow he ended up treating us all to pizza for dinner and wow…what a blessing and super awesome that was!! God is good.

And that wasn't all, on the bus ride back to the train station, God provided a couple of opportunities to share a little about Jesus and the World Race and I got the chance to meet a guy that would be willing to show us around Odessa if we were around longer. God is good.
Overall, God really does provide and is in control of all situations and when we go before Him and submit to His will all sorts of amazing things can happen!
