1. Travel days are not always long and adventures. Sometimes they are short and uneventful.
2. A great place for group conversations is either in the restroom or around one of the only two plugs that we can use. 41 people and two outlets = lots of friends especially if you have a power strip.
3. Wear ear plugs when sleeping. Remember the scene in 101 Dalmatians when the dogs are barking all over the city to send a message? It happens in real life.
4. I’m learning that there are just some things that will never look clean on the Race. Example: Hands, feet, white clothing, shoes.
5. If you want fruit then wait for a truck with a speaker on top to go by saying something that you can’t understand and hope that they stop for you.
6. If you want to lift weights you discover that you can use almost anything. Example: rocks, pack, people…
7. Do not work like a North American. Take breaks often, long lunch, and don’t work yourself to death. Doing so can cause burnout and accidents, also the work will be less fun.
