Sawadeekha or hello from Thailand! Ifve arrived in Bangkok, Thailand right across from Ram II University. I was in this area in the summer of 2005 in a missions trip with KCCC doing outreach and teaching English to Thai students. They had asked me to come back years ago and Ifm back!

My World Race squad will be partnering with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) this month as we serve in Thailand. Some of the areas that the different teams will be helping out in include caring for abandoned children, church planting, doing outreach for victims of human trafficking to get them alternative forms of work, rural women’s development, drug rehabilitation, and much more. I will be heading out to the Sisaket Province, which is in Northeastern Thailand. It is the poorest region of Thailand. My team will consist of all girls this month, four of us from Malachi and six others from Team Radiance. The information Ifve received as of now is that my team will be teamed up with the only family of faith in that entire province to serve the community. The children in this province are at-risk for trafficked into sweatshops, prostitution, and to work as child beggars or become abandoned by their family simply because there is so much poverty. The U.S. Congressional Research Service indicates that a lack of economic opportunities is the single largest factor contributing towards trafficking. Although the details of what my team will be doing is unclear since wefve just arrived, our intention is to love them and create a better life for them however we can.

Note: My internet access will be limited again this month since I will be in a village.
