We had an overnight crusade that lasted till 2am. Rabina asked Rev. Elisabeth for prayer because she had woke up at night and her husband found blood on his shirt, but they didn’t know where it had come from. They went to the doctor to see if there was anything wrong with him, but there was nothing. Rabina had also woke up one night with a part of her dress cut up, but she didn’t know how it got cut. There were several other strange things that happened at her home such as a snake coming into her house twice (both times she killed them) followed by a visit from a spirit that spoke to her about how she had killed the snakes. Rev. Elisabeth decided it was best if we prayed for her the next day since it could take a while.
After lunch, some of my teammates went into our hut while John and I stayed with some of our contacts at the church. Rev. Henry went to get me and John and told us that we had to go to Rabina’s house to pray for her now. When we showed up, she was just lying on the floor as if she was asleep. John and I started talking about how we might be doing deliverance (exorcism) here. As soon as we mentioned it, Rabina got up and started trying to escape the house, but her eyes were still closed the entire time. Five people had to hold her down and from there we began to pray for her along with the rest of the Malachi team. She kept trying to escape the house and began to flail around, but her eyes were still closed the entire time. We carried her to the church to pray and her same behavior continued. We kept praying and a demon began to speak out of her. Eventually she opened her eyes and the pastor cast the spirit out. She opened her eyes and she was completely unaware of anything that had happened. She had no idea how she had gotten from her house to the church or that she had tried to run away or that people had been praying for her.
Another crazy thing that had happened the night of the crusade was that at 3am, the house next to Rabina’s house got burned down. He was a member of the church. Someone who didn’t like him decided to lock him, his wife, and his children in the mud hut and set it on fire.
