Sorry for not posting this sooner! Things have been kinda crazy lately. My trip has officially been postponed until January. I have chosen a new route and I have been placed on a new squad (that I have not had the pleasure of meeting just yet). Unfortunately I was not able to raise enough money by the June 29 deadline that was set for me to be able to leave in September. I am now going on the January 2014 Route 3 and will be traveling to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
At first I felt at peace with postponing my trip. I know that everything happens for a reason, and that if God wasn't opening the door for me to leave in September that there was a reason behind it. But when U squad headed to training camp mid July, I started to feel left out and left behind. It was hard knowing that I would not get to meet the squad that I had grown so close to over the past few months. The week of their training camp was a little hard for me. But now as I read some of the blogs, watch videos and view pics from training camp I know in my heart that it wasn't my time. Not just yet.
