Romania was hard.
It was full of monotonous labor,
the purpose of which I cannot tell you.
Interaction with the community was nonexistent,
and upon departure I couldn’t tell you one thing about the culture.
It was difficult,
but just as God led the Israelites through the desert
God led me through the month
and just as He led them to the promised land, the land flowing with milk and honey,
so He has led me.
He led me to Butor, Transnistria
Where I’m living with a family of seven,
The mother is a sweet, hardworking angel
And the father a man that provides for the family.
The kids are all beautiful, mischievous, bundles of laughter.
My days are spent loving on the family, helping around the house, and teaching English to the community.
I have been blessed beyond words.
Next time I’m in the desert I will remain faithful to the Lord
Because just He did in the Old Testament
And just as He does today,
He will lead me through.
In Isaiah 43:2 God says,
“When you pass through the water, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze”
