I'm pleased to announce a partnership between The World Race and Food for the Hungry! Please take a few minutes to watch this video introducing Food for the Hungry.
Food for the Hungry is one of the ministries that World Racers partner with while we're in the field. Their goal is the meet the physical and spiritual hunger in developing nations, and that's where YOU come in.
You can sponsor a child for a little more than $1/day through Food for the Hungry (FH), and that allows FH to provide programs in child sponsorship, agriculture, health, clean water, education, church development, and more, all of which your sponsored child will directly benefit from. You also get to communicate directly with your sponsored child via letter-writing! I love that FH desires to make a sustainable impact to impoverished communities by empowering them rather than simply providing hand-outs (Although I'm sure there's need for that kind of help, too).
In a two-birds-one-stone mentality, your sponsorship of a child for $32/month also gives me a $50 scholarship to my World Race account. Pretty sweet deal, right?
