Hi! My name is Christina and I write in run-on sentences and an excess of exclamation points! I'm stoked to see all the ways God will reveal himself to the nations, my teammates, and me on The World Race!
I like cracking jokes, singing while driving, and most activities that involve yelling and flailing of arms. I studied at University of California, Berkeley for civil & environmental engineering (Roll on you Bears!), and later worked as a field engineer for a contractor in San Francisco before being called to this season of overseas missions.

I've been fortunate to have been raised in a Christian home with my wonderful parents and my feisty baby sister. Their support has meant the world to me! Special props to Mama Young who prayed for me diligently when I wasn't walking with the Lord from 2006 to 2011. Jesus was always faithfully pursuing me even when I didn't want anything to do with Him, and I am glad of it. (Read my testimony by clicking on this link.)

I'm a blessed member of Ark Ministries in Berkeley, California and it's due to these spiritual giants that I'm able to minister so freely! These beautiful people walked alongside me when I wanted nothing to do with them, they poured out into me for years, and they raised me up to be one of their own. I am forever grateful to them for the love in their community and for showing me what it's like to truly desire God.

I'm 33% yuppie, 33% hipster-bro, 34% hippie-nut-crunch, but I'm glad to lay down 100% of my life for Jesus. He's the reason I can live as a saint and not a sinner; He's why my future has hope, wonder, and glory. This missions trip is about serving abroad, but it's also about reaching those at home. Thus, I hope following this blog will bless you, dear reader, and that the glory of God may be revealed.
Love,
Christina
