Fabulous Friends and Family
This time last year, I was in full swing of fundraising for the World Race, enjoying the excitement of sharing about the journeys that laid ahead and now I am nearly at the half way point of this journey. I have arrived to the sweet spot in the race where I have 5 countries ahead of me and 6 behind me! The past 5 &1/2 months aren not months I would ever say were easy, but they have stretched me as a person. This season has pushed me to lay down my pride, fear and failures which has in return allowed me to see God’s character and love for me as His daughter more clearly. There are MANY days I wanted to leave the race, I said I was done more times than I ever thought would come out of my mouth, but I have not quit nor do I plan on it. In moments of wanting to seek the comforts of home and leave the race, I ran to the Lord, His word, and to the people He has placed in my life to push me toward the Lord for this season. This season, for me is this journey, the World Race, 11 countries in 11 months, putting my career on hold, loving my friends and family through internet conversations, and waking up everyday choosing to say yes to the Lord and the day He has made! You, my friends, family, and prayer warriors, those I have come to know along the way through this journey, you have made this trip more rewarding and possible! You have loved me well, and encouraged me to keep going! Thank you, everyday, Thank you!
After I was accepted to join P-Squad on the World Race, a dear friend of mine, whom runs a lovely online boutique, blessed me with an AMAZING fundraiser, which was the “Faith Bands”, they were leather bands I sold and a portion of the money went to my World Race account. Those bracelets helped me push forward financially in this journey and brought many of y’all into this journey with me! Well, this friend, is opening up another fundraiser to help me close the gap financially and even become fully funded so that I may be able to complete the World Race and not be distracted by the financial obligations of this trip! I am currently at a point of needing $2,595 to be fully funded, with the final financial deadline being, June 30th!
My friend’s Boutique is called Shop Yellow, She has great jewelry, that more often than not I want to buy, but being 7,000 miles away its a bit impractical currently! Her boutique is full of the most current trends, with great jewelry, shirts, leggings, and other accessories. It is an online boutique through Facebook and Instagram, so if you want to purchase an item, you would write the item you like, write sold, and leave your email address in the comment box! But for it to be a fundraiser for me, if you will also write Christina on the comment, shop yellow will donate 50% of the proceeds to my world race account! You will be able to get cute accessories in time for the Fourth of July, or your next summer pool party, and be able to keep supporting me as I finish the World Race, 11in11 journey! How Great!!
