This past month was full of new beginnings. As the new team leader of W.O.W., I entered a new season on the race. I was filled with an infectious joy and eagerness to get to know my new teammates. We arrived in Kitale, Kenya with 5 whole weeks to enjoy before debreif. Talk about a long month…

So, I bet you are wondering where I am right now…

Well… I am in Mukono, Uganda. Somehow I neglected to blog once about my actual ministry this past month. Because of this, I decided to make a photoblog dating from our arrival in Kenya to the end of our time in Kitale with New Life Trans-Nzoia Ministry.

Enjoy!

Mt. Kenya from the clouds.

Pastor Moses Mwamalwa and his wife Roselyn are incredible…we nicknamed them Papa and Mama Bear!

Bystanders at our first African wedding.

We must be pretty interesting with this crowd.

One of the church families.

Always the entertainer…

Stunning African bride!

VINNY! Our little Vincent, the son of Elizabeth, Pastor Moses' house help!

So this is why Africans tend to win in the Olympics…

And why they are such good dancers…

Teaching life lessons at Liberty Primary School with destitute and orphaned children.

Beautiful women in prison lining up to receive toiletries.

As soon as worship started we became best friends. Africans are dancing machines!

Rehema orphanage that we visited after meeting the muzungu (white person) owner at a coffee house.

Abandoned babies are rescued and brought to the orphanage…they have about 90 babies. EEK!

School boys that we passed on our way to the next house during door-to-door evangelism!

With the local church after Cara preached a POWERFUL message.

Sweet Mary at the Mercy-Caring orphanage that our contact founded.

Mary, Marion and I just lovin' life.

Our attempt at a group shot…epic fail.

Cara, Mary and I hiking Mt. Elgon! Look at that view!

My heart in a nutshell…

The whole crew. My sources tell me that Pride Rock from the Lion King is behind us…

By gorgeous teammates our last day of ministry! I love each them so dearly!

A Cape Buffalo staring us down during our safari at Lake Nukuru.

Off he goes!

Buffalo just hangin out in the shade!

We were so blessed to see this guy!

The real animals in the park!

Probably my favorite animal we encountered.

The self-acclaimed "lion chasers".

A zebra!

View on our way out! Breath-taking!
