If you have not been to Harrisburg PA then a trip is in order. I had the opportunity to spend a week at Spring Gate Farm & Vineyard earlier this month. It was an eye opener to life on the farm with all the chores that go with it. Along with that I met some pretty cool people too.
These are the Bobs, Marley and Dylan. No they are not llamas but alpacas. The sheep would be Ann and Gilbert. Their human counter parts are Allie and Rachel, who were trying to move them to another pen.
This hansom devil would be Lou. The verdict is still out on actually being male or female but the name will probably stick either way. The other photo has Rachel and Allie again but this time Trevor joined us in the fun.
The vineyard is still young but looking good and off to a great start. Lots of veggies are grown in the gardens and very yummy. Spring Gate is fortunate that everyone can be fed from the gardens with some left over to offer at the market stand.
As you can see there is time to enjoy the little things. Spring Gate is an opportunity for racers coming off the field and saying, “Now what?” It’s a place where one can learn new things, meet new people, get involve on the ground level of something new and grow in your walk with The Father.
