“When many see, many will pray” these, the words of our ministry contact here in Romania, sunk a little deeper in my mind.

Part of my squad and team’s ministry this month is raising awareness for the programs carried out by the church here in Romania. Some of you may have received invitations to like Facebook pages of the projects we will be involved in this month. Our ministry contact encouraged us to share the page and promote the organization we will be working alongside this month. Her desire is for more people to see the work that is happening and in turn these people will pray for the things the ministries are working through as well.

I liked that idea – of the community of believers around the world joining together to further the kingdom – even by raising awareness through a click of a button, or liking a Facebook page.

I have been a little behind in updating my blog – and getting back into the routine of it; and it dawned on me as our ministry contact was giving us the low-down on how to promote the organization, that I need to be more intentional about sharing and showing what is going on here – in order for you to be praying for me (:

A brief summary of the past 3 weeks:

– I said goodbye to my first country on the race, a tearful experience as we left behind our friends at a local church.

– I ate sheep stomach soup (Shkembe) a delicious and delectable treat (:

– Our team moved on to Bucharest for a debrief with our fellow squad.

– I visited and stepped inside of the second largest government building in the world.

– I’ve settled into month 2 of the race in Romania living with 37 other people…under one roof.

– I currently live on the third story of a 3 level bunk bed for six people (:

This coming month my team and I will be working alongside a ministry of the church in an after school program for children, and will also be making home visits to various families in the community.

Please continue to pray for my team/squad/ and myself as we adjust to life together and in a whole new country.

I look forward to giving you more specific updates in the days and weeks to come!
