Oh hello, looming deadline, my old friend!

48 hours until the next deadline. I have sent out the letters, put that good ol’ desperate facebook message up, sent my prayers up to God marked as urgent, sold the car, considered for a hot second to sell the Siberian Husky (clearly, that would not be a wise decision), found all the old pop bottles that can be returned for a deposit (Michigan is awesome like that!), heard back from churches that are going to be presenting on behalf of me to their missions boards, set up more fundraisers for later in the month, and done my very best to raise money. Heck, I even looked in the couch for some loose change! Desperate times, desperate measures.

2 nights ago I wrote a letter to God asking him to dazzle me with some kind of miracle. I’ve learned that God only shows up in ways that only God could. From places I could never have imagined. The money is coming in, I have no doubt. Yesterday I received a phone call from out of the blue for a donation of $250. I’m speaking at a church, that I am not a member at, next week at ALL 3 services, that in and of itself is a miracle. God is dazzling me.

But, they made it crystal clear at training camp that this deadline is a DEADLINE! And I’m taking it seriously. I have literally done MY BEST and all that I can do to have reached this deadline. I believe God brought me this far and I know He won’t drop me. I fully expect to be dancing in the isles on the way to Ireland with the rest of my squad in 20 some odd days singing “Call Me Maybe”.

If YOU, yes YOU reading this right now, right there, from your laptop, or your iphone, or peering over the shoulder of someone else reading this, have any extra money to give to a soon to be missionary, please donate!!! Annnnnnnnd if you could shoot me a message via the “call me maybe” button after you donate to ease my nerves and tell me that you did so I can call my mobilizer and tell her money is on the way, THAT WOULD BE SUPER!

I need $1,500. BIG SCARY NUMBER!!!! But with YOUR help it could be significantly less.

I despise writing blogs asking for money but hey, it is humbling me.

I’ll send YOU a personal thank you note and post cards updating you on my ministry work in every country if YOU donate.

You can also donate anonymously, I truly won’t know where it came from.

If you want to send in a check, which would be awesome, because the credit card companies won’t charge Adventures in Missions any money if you do that and I’ll get the full amount, please do so! At this point you would need to take a picture of the check and send it to me so I can send it to my mobilizer and send it to her to let them all know help is on the way.

Please and thank you!

Many Blessings!!!
