The month of October was blessed with beautiful sunsets over the lake every night. It inspired me to say goodnight to the sun instead of the moon.

On the Isle de Ometepe
There was a world racer
And a green hammock
And by the laundry—
The clothes hanging out to dry
And there were three chicos, banging on drums
And two goats that didn’t have to wear coats
And a football court made for two sports
And rice and beans and a room for the teens
And a Mexican lady was wearing her jeans
Goodnight island
Goodnight sun
Goodnight clothes hanging out to dry
Goodnight hammock and world racer
Goodnight chicos Goodnight drums
Goodnight goats goodnight coats
Goodnight snake and goodnight lake
Goodnight football court made for two sports
Goodnight rice and goodnight beans
Goodnight Jimmy goodnight teens
And goodnight to Samantha wearing her jeans
Goodnight stars, goodnight air
Goodnight noises everywhere.
